pokeberries
New models arriving this autumn like at the car dealers but prettier. Pokeberries. I've made an early van dyke brown attempt at this but I think the digital negative needs a lot of work. Too much is lost in the translation. I will post it once I get it right. Lot's of time this weekend for studio since school is under way.

The new work is being well received. "Curl" has been excepted into the Texas Photographic Society's TPS 17 : TNC, juried by Lisa Sutcliffe, which will travel around Texas, New York and California for one year. It opens in Austin at the Dougherty Art Center on September 4th.
"Seeds" received an honorable mention in a group show of alternative process photography curated by Christopher James at Tilt gallery in Phoenix, Arizona. The closing reception is Friday, Sept 19th 6 to 10pm. Photography Re-imagined is currently on display.

Ohio State Fair Fine Arts
Not being in Ohio for the last few weeks and missing the opening exhibition, I have been on pins and needles searching for specific info regarding the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts exhibition award winners. Melissa Vogley Woods, co-director of the Fine Arts Exhibition has been blogging news from the Ohio State Fair. The work selected and receiving an Ohio Arts Council Professional Award are ....from left to right "Seeds", "Birch Pollen", "Curl"
